Free SEO Site Lists, Checked Rather Than Copied

We took the SEO submission spreadsheets that circulate online, opened every URL in them, and threw away everything that no longer answered. 44 percent of it was dead. What survived is below.

1,755 sites listed2,797 (44%) removed as dead6,375 domains crawled on 2026-08-19

Every link on this page opened when we checked it

You came here for sites you can actually submit to, so that is what these lists are: 1,755 working sites across 26 categories, each one opened and confirmed live on 2026-08-19. Every page tells you what the category is worth in 2027, how to use it without getting your accounts banned, and which sites to start with. No signup, no email, nothing gated.

Getting there meant crawling 6,375 candidate URLs and throwing away the 44 percent that failed: domains that no longer resolve, pages parked for resale, expired certificates, and services that shut down years ago. StumbleUpon, Delicious and Newsvine still appear on competing lists dated this year, and all three closed before 2021. Those are the afternoons this saves you.

Real DA and PA, checked by us, not copied

The tables carry Moz Domain Authority, Page Authority and Spam Score from our own bulk checks, covering 800 domains so far and growing. Where a domain has not been run yet you get a dash rather than a guess.

What we will not do is copy the DA figures that travel with these spreadsheets, because they do not survive a check. Here are 12 domains the source rates at DA 70 or above, none of which appear anywhere in the global top million:

Alongside the Moz numbers each site carries an authority score derived from global popularity rank, which you can verify against any public ranking, and the date we last saw the site load. That last one is the check DA cannot make: Moz reports a healthy DA for services that shut down years ago, because it is computed from a link graph that still remembers them.

Link building

What this category is actually worth in 2026

Worth the least of the four groups, and it is the one everybody starts with. In August and September 2026 we ran a controlled test on our own site: 293 submissions across 15 days, 171 of them from these categories. Search Console impressions tripled for three days and returned to baseline within 24 hours. Not one keyword changed position.

That is not an argument for skipping the category entirely. Bookmarking and profile links still get a brand-new page crawled quickly, and the handful of platforms with real audiences send occasional referral traffic. It is an argument against volume. Eighty-four bookmarking domains that share one URL pattern are not eighty-four sources, they are one source wearing eighty-four costumes, and Google reads the pattern as easily as you can.

If you use these lists, use them for indexation and brand presence, cap yourself at a handful per category, and never point an exact-match commercial anchor at a bookmark or classified page. Guest posting is the exception in this group: it is the only one here that reliably produces a referring domain strong enough to move Authority Score, because editorial review is the whole product.

Local and business listings

The categories that produce actual enquiries for an Indian business, not just links.

What this category is actually worth in 2026

The only group on this page that regularly produces a phone call rather than a link, and the only one where volume genuinely helps. Classified and business listings work as citations: consistent mentions of your name, address and phone across the web, which is one of the strongest inputs into local Map Pack ranking.

The catch is consistency, not quantity. A listing carrying an old address does more harm than no listing at all, because Google uses the contradiction to discount the whole set. We learned this the expensive way. When our own office moved in August 2026, every one of 42 existing citations became wrong overnight, and correcting them mattered more than adding new ones.

Start with Google Business Profile, then Justdial, IndiaMART and Sulekha, and only then work down a list. Write each listing for a human deciding whether to call you, not for a crawler counting links.

Media and visual

Places to publish images, video, documents and design work.

What this category is actually worth in 2026

Almost all of these links are nofollow, so judge the category on something other than PageRank. What they actually buy is surface area: a PDF on a document host indexes as its own page, an infographic gets embedded and cited, and a video ranks in a results block your website cannot reach.

This group has quietly become more valuable, not less, because AI answer engines read document and media hosts heavily when they assemble an answer. Our own tracking shows this site appearing in 35 percent of sampled ChatGPT responses against 3 percent of Google AI Overviews, and the media and document platforms are a large part of why.

Publish something genuinely useful rather than a spun article with a link at the bottom. One real resource on Issuu or Scribd outperforms thirty thin uploads, and the thin ones can get the account removed.

Technical and tools

Indexation, feeds and the audit tools worth having open.

What this category is actually worth in 2026

Two very different things sit in this group. Ping and RSS submission are largely obsolete: Google stopped depending on ping services years ago, and a page that is internally linked and in your sitemap gets found without them. They are harmless and occasionally speed up the first crawl of a brand-new domain, which is the only reason we still maintain the lists.

Search engine submission is in the same category of mostly-unnecessary. You do not need to submit to Google; you need a sitemap and a crawlable site. The exception is the smaller engines and regional directories that genuinely do not discover you on their own.

The audit tools list is the part of this group worth your time. Most of what these lists cannot tell you, a crawl of your own site will: what is not indexed, what redirects to what, and which pages are competing with each other.

Questions people ask before using these lists

Do SEO submission sites still work in 2026?

Mostly no, and we tested it rather than guessing. Across 15 days we made 293 submissions to our own site, 171 of them from bookmarking, directory and classified networks. Impressions rose for three days and fell back to baseline within 24 hours, and no keyword changed position. The categories that still earn their place are local and business listings, which work as citations and feed Map Pack ranking, and guest posting, which is the only one that reliably produces a strong referring domain.

How many sites should I submit to?

Far fewer than these lists suggest. Five genuinely strong referring domains a month will move your Authority Score more than five hundred from low-quality sources. One competitor we measured has 932,000 backlinks and an Authority Score of 8; another has 322 referring domains and a score of 21. Volume is not the variable that matters.

Can submission links hurt my rankings?

They can, in two specific ways. The first is footprint: when dozens of the domains you submit to run the same software and share one URL pattern, they read as a single source rather than many, and the pattern is trivial to detect. The second is anchor text. Pointing an exact-match commercial phrase at a bookmark or classified page is the clearest possible signal of manipulation, and a site with low authority has no buffer to absorb it.

Why do your lists show different DA numbers from everyone else's?

Because we run our own Moz checks instead of copying the figures that travel with these spreadsheets. Those numbers do not survive a check. Several domains routinely listed at DA 70 or above do not appear anywhere in the global top million sites. Where we have not run a domain yet you get a dash rather than a guess.

Are these lists free, and do I need to sign up?

Free, with no signup, no email capture and nothing gated. Every URL was opened and confirmed loading on the verification date shown at the top of each list, and dead or parked domains were removed rather than copied forward.

What should I do instead of mass submission?

Fix what a crawl of your own site tells you first, because that is usually cheaper and faster than any link. Then get your Google Business Profile and your name, address and phone consistent everywhere, since that is what drives local ranking. Then earn a small number of real editorial links a month. Mass submission is the thing people do because it is easy to measure, not because it works.

Lists are the easy part

Submitting to every site here will not rank you on its own, and for most businesses it is not even the right place to start. We will look at your site and tell you what actually needs doing first, whether or not you hire us.
