Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Doon Digital does with personal data collected through https://doondigital.in, our forms, our email and our WhatsApp. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it in plain terms.

1. Who we are

Doon Digital is a digital marketing agency and training provider based in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here: we decide why it is collected and what happens to it.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

Every form on this site is optional. If you fill one in, we receive what you typed. Depending on the form, that is some combination of:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• Your city or area
• Your business name, website address and type of business
• The service or course you asked about
• Anything you wrote in the message box
• For course brochure requests, your confirmation that you have a laptop or PC and a stable internet connection
• The page you were on when you submitted, so we know what you were reading

If you go on to become a client or a student, we also hold what the work itself requires: invoices and payment references, the access you grant us to your advertising or analytics accounts, and our correspondence with you.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, ours records technical information when a page loads. This is not linked to your name unless you have also submitted a form.

• Your IP address, and the approximate city it suggests
• Your browser, operating system and screen size
• Which pages you visited, in what order, and for how long
• The site or search that sent you to us, where your browser reports it
• Server logs kept by our host

What we do not collect

• We do not take payments through this website, so we never see your card, UPI or bank details here.
• We do not ask for government identity numbers such as Aadhaar or PAN in order to use the site or download a brochure.
• We do not run advertising pixels on this site at present.

3. Why we collect it

We use personal data for these purposes and no others:

• To reply to you. If you submit an enquiry, we call, message or email you back about it.
• To send what you asked for, such as a course PDF, a quotation or a website audit.
• To deliver work you have engaged us for, including managing accounts and campaigns you give us access to.
• To run a course you have enrolled in, which means scheduling classes, sharing material and issuing your certificate.
• To keep our own records, including invoices, which Indian tax and accounting law requires us to retain.
• To understand how the site is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it.

We rely on your consent, given when you submit a form, and on the necessity of processing to perform a contract you have entered into with us.

4. Cookies and tracking

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store. We use very few. The ones set on this site fall into two groups:

• Necessary. Set by the site itself to remember things like whether you have already dismissed a popup, so it does not reappear on every page. Without these the site misbehaves.
• Analytics. Set by Google Analytics and Snow Analytics to count visits and tell repeat visitors from new ones.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on if you would rather not be counted. Blocking cookies will not stop you from using this site or from contacting us.

5. Who else sees your data

We do not sell personal data, we do not rent mailing lists, and we do not pass your details to other agencies. We do use a small number of service providers, and your data passes through them. Here is the complete list, what each one receives, and where it holds the data.

We will also disclose data where the law requires it, for example in response to a valid order from a court or a government authority. If we are ever asked for your data in a way we can tell you about, we will tell you.

6. Where your data is stored

As the table above shows, some of our providers hold data outside India. Submitting a form therefore involves a transfer of your details abroad. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 permits transfers to countries the Central Government has not restricted, and none of the countries listed above is currently restricted. We keep our own working copies, such as email and invoices, in accounts we control.

7. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that go nowhere: up to 24 months, after which we delete the record. Marketing enquiries often revive months later, which is why it is not shorter.
• Client and student records: for the length of the engagement and 8 years afterwards, because Indian tax law requires books of account to be retained for that period.
• Analytics: retained by Google and Snow Analytics under their own schedules. Our Google Analytics property is set to the shortest useful retention period.
• Server logs: a rolling window kept by our host, typically measured in weeks.

Ask us to delete your data earlier and we will, except for anything we are legally required to keep.

8. How we protect it

• The whole site is served over HTTPS, so form submissions are encrypted in transit.
• Access to our email and client accounts is limited to the people doing the work.
• We use two-factor authentication on the accounts that support it.
• We ask clients to grant us delegated access to their platforms rather than share passwords.

No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach ever affects your data, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

9. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the following rights over the data we hold about you. Exercising any of them is free, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

• The right to know. Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with.
• The right to correction. Ask us to correct anything inaccurate, complete anything incomplete, or update anything out of date.
• The right to erasure. Ask us to delete your data when it is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it for, unless the law requires us to keep it.
• The right to withdraw consent. Change your mind at any time. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing already carried out.
• The right to grievance redressal. Complain to our Grievance Officer, named below, before going to the Data Protection Board.
• The right of nomination. Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated.

To use any of these, email info@doondigital.in from the address you contacted us with, or call +91-7060329341. We may ask a question or two to confirm it is really you, then act within 30 days.

10. Marketing and opting out

If you enquire, we will follow up about that enquiry. We do not add you to a general mailing list without asking. If we ever send you something you did not ask for, reply with the word stop, or tell us on WhatsApp, and it ends there. We keep a short suppression record of who has opted out, purely so we do not contact you again by mistake.

11. Children

This site is meant for adults and for students aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If a person under 18 wants to enrol in a course, a parent or guardian should make the enquiry and give consent, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 requires. If you believe a child has given us data, tell us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top of the page. This version replaces everything published before August 23, 2026. If a change materially affects how we handle data you have already given us, we will tell the people affected rather than rely on you noticing a new date.

13. Grievance Officer

As required by the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, here is the person to contact with a complaint about how we handled your data.
