Website Development Cost in Dehradun: What Each Price Buys
With us, a website for a Dehradun business is a one-time project that starts at ₹1,25,000. Where a site lands from there depends on whether you need a simple brochure site, a booking engine or a full online store.
Our three packages set the starting points:
- Starter, ₹1,25,000: a five-page website.
- Growth, ₹2,00,000: ten pages with custom design and a payment gateway. This is also where any online store starts.
- Premium, ₹3,00,000: unlimited pages, full e-commerce and integrations with other software.
Every project gets a written quotation before work starts, and there are no hidden fees. The rest of this guide covers what each package includes, what pushes a price up, a booking site we built, the costs that come back every year, and how to compare quotes from different agencies.
What each of our website packages includes
These are the packages listed on our website development page. Each is a one-time price.
- Starter, ₹1,25,000: five pages, mobile responsive, basic SEO setup, a contact form, links to your social media pages and one month of support. It suits a shop, clinic or consultant that needs a site saying who they are, what they offer and how to reach them.
- Growth, ₹2,00,000: ten pages, custom design, advanced SEO, a payment gateway and three months of support, and it is ready for e-commerce. A basic online store with up to 50 products starts here.
- Premium, ₹3,00,000: unlimited pages, full e-commerce, a complete SEO package, API integrations, custom features and twelve months of support.

The support period matters more than it looks. During it, changes are included at no extra cost. After it ends, we offer maintenance plans for ongoing updates.
A standard business website takes 2 to 4 weeks to build. An online store takes longer, depending on how many products it has and how much is customised.
WordPress website development starts at the same prices, as our WordPress development page shows: a business site from ₹1,25,000 and a WooCommerce store from ₹2,00,000.
What pushes a website price up or down
Two quotes for "a website" can describe very different jobs. These are the things that change the amount of work, and so the price:
- Number of pages. Every page needs a layout, text and images, and has to be checked on a phone. Our packages step from five pages to ten to unlimited.
- Who writes the words and supplies the photos. Good text for every page takes real time to write. Ask whether a quote includes it or expects you to send the text, and whether photos come from you, a photographer or a stock library.
- Custom design or a ready-made theme. A theme is quicker to set up. A design made for your business takes longer. Custom design is part of our Growth package.
- Bookings and payments. A contact form is simple. A booking calendar, a request form or online payment each has to be built, tested and kept working. A payment gateway is part of our Growth package.
- The size of an online store. Products, payment options, shipping rules and order handling all add work. Our stores start at ₹2,00,000 for up to 50 products, and medium-sized stores cost ₹2,50,000 to ₹5,00,000, depending on the platform, the features, how much is customised and the number of products. Our e-commerce page lists the payment gateways and shipping services we connect.
- Integrations. Connecting your site to another system, such as a booking platform's calendar, a payment gateway or a shipping service, means building and testing that link. API integrations are part of our Premium package.
- More than one language. A Hindi and English site usually needs every page in both languages, a language switch and hreflang tags, which tell Google which page is in which language (Google on localized versions). Our multi-language sites come with both.
Two things should not be extras: a site that works on phones, and basic SEO. Every site we build is mobile responsive, and every package includes SEO setup. If a quote lists them as add-ons, ask why.
A real example: the booking site we built for Namah Stay Himalayas
Namah Stay Himalayas is an orchard homestay in Kanatal, and we built its website. You can open it yourself at namahstayhimalayas.com. It shows what a booking site involves beyond a brochure site.
The cottage and its rooms. The homepage introduces the bedrooms, the attic room, the sitting rooms, the bay window room and the decks, and links to a rooms page. Guests can take one room or the whole house.

A date search on a calendar. Guests choose their dates on the homepage or the booking page, where a two-month calendar marks each night as available or booked.
Requests instead of payments. Guests send a booking request without paying, and the hosts confirm on WhatsApp with the tariff and payment details. The request form also lets guests ask for a bonfire evening, farm-fresh meals, a Surkanda Devi visit or help arranging a cab.

WhatsApp and phone one tap away. On a phone, the homepage keeps Call, WhatsApp and Book Now buttons at the bottom of the screen, and it ends with a form for guests who would rather be called back.

Pages that answer guests' questions. An organic farm page shows what grows around the cottage and ends up on the table, and a Kanatal travel guide covers when to come, when it snows and how to get there.
If your business takes bookings, list features like these when you ask for quotes. Each one is work someone has to build and test, so two quotes can only be compared when they cover the same list. More of our builds are on our case studies page.
The costs that come after launch
The build is paid once. These costs come back every month or every year, and they are easy to leave out of a budget:
- Domain name. Renewed every year, or a few years at a time. Check the renewal price as well as the first-year offer, and make sure the domain is registered in your name.
- Hosting. Our website hosting starts at ₹995 a month for shared hosting and ₹1,995 a month for WordPress hosting. VPS hosting, with resources set aside for your site, starts at ₹4,995 a month.
- SSL certificate. This lets your site load over https, so browsers do not warn visitors that it is not secure. It is free with all our hosting plans, and often free elsewhere too: Let's Encrypt issues certificates at no cost.
- Maintenance. WordPress, its theme and its plugins need regular updates and security checks. Our WordPress maintenance plans start at ₹4,995 a month.
- Content updates. New prices, photos and offers. You can make these yourself in the admin panel, and we train you to do that after launch, or you can pay someone to do them.
- Marketing. A website does not bring visitors by itself. If you are budgeting for SEO or ads as well, our guide to what digital marketing costs in Dehradun sets out our monthly plans.
How to compare two website quotes
Website development charges vary a lot between agencies, so put the quotes side by side and ask every agency the same questions:
- What exactly is included? The number of pages, the features (forms, WhatsApp, bookings, payments) and whether the text and photos are part of the job.
- Is it a custom design or a theme? Either can work, but you should know which one you are paying for.
- How will it work on a phone? Ask how they test on mobile and how quickly the pages load, then open a few sites they have built on your own phone.
- What SEO is included? At the least: a title and description for every page, a sitemap and Google Search Console set up.
- Who owns what? The domain should be in your name, and you should get the admin login, the hosting login and a copy of the site files.
- What happens after launch? How long support lasts, what a change costs after that, and the yearly cost of hosting and maintenance.
- When do you pay? The timeline and the payment schedule.
For what a good business website should do beyond its price, see our notes on the standards a Dehradun service business website should meet.
Red flags in a website quote
- A price far below everyone else's. Very cheap quotes can skip the work you do not see: testing on phones, page speed, basic SEO and support after launch. Ask what is left out.
- The domain registered in the agency's name. Your business then depends on that agency for its own web address, and leaving becomes harder.
- No admin or hosting access. If only the agency can log in, every small change goes through them, at their price.
- Hosting you cannot move. "Free hosting for life" sounds generous. Ask what happens to your site if you want to leave.
- No written scope. A one-line quote gives you nothing to point to when the site is not what you expected.
Get a written quote for your website
Tell us what your site has to do: how many pages, whether it takes bookings or payments, and who will write the text. We will send a written quotation before any work starts, with no hidden fees. You can compare our packages on the website development page, see what goes into an online store on our e-commerce page, or ask us for a quote.
